Celexa

Celexa (citalopram) is usually prescribed for patients diagnosed with depression that require serious treatment. Report these serious symptoms to your doctor as soon as possible to make sure they do not get worse: aggressive behavior, insomnia, worsening depression, restlessness, irritability, panic attacks, abnormal excitement, and agitation. These are some of the mild side effects that people taking Celexa sometimes report: dry mouth, changes in sex drive, nervousness, stomach pain, drowsiness, diarrhea, loss of appetite, profuse sweating, muscle pain, vomiting, tiredness, nausea, and excitement. Hallucinations, fever, sweating, irregular heartbeat, muscle stiffness and other serious side effects are to be reported to your health care provider as soon as possible. There are a number of other side effects possible when you are taking Celexa, so if you have any that cause your suspicion it's best to talk to your health care provider as soon as possible. In case of an overdose (symptoms such as nausea, memory loss, uncontrollable shaking, confusion, dizziness, pounding heartbeat, seizures, sweating, vomiting, drowsiness) seek emergency medical help.
